David - Here is the old master snowmobile innovator Edgar Hetteen,
(Co-Founder Polaris and Founder of Arctic Cat) on my 1960 Polaris Ranger,
which I restored a couple years ago.  (W10E or Wisconsin 10hp Electric Start) 

When they made this trip those sleds were powered by Kohlers not like
the Wisconsin engine on mine that Edgar is sitting on.

This is the same year sled 1960, Edgar used on their
famous journey from the Bering Sea to Fairbanks, Alaska.
