Hi
David. Thought I'd send you some pictures of my latest sled find.
I
picked it up locally at an estate sale.
It
is a 1970 Skiroule SX340, which I was told was their sporty consumer sled.
It
was last registered in 1972 and has only 547 miles on it.
It
has the Sachs single 340SS engine.
The
pictures I'm sending are what it looks like after about an hour of cleaning
on it.
It
sat in a garage with the original cover.
The
seat has one tear at the seam near the backrest.
The
hood and engine and engine compartment are in great shape.
The
gas tank had been drained properly way back then, so no problems there.
I
haven't fired the engine up yet (gotta look for mouse nests in the muffler
first), but
I'm
sure it will start. The track is in good shape as it was lifted off
of the ground.
Even
found the original tool kit and a spare belt.
This
is my first Canadian sled. Thought you'd appreciate that.
