TRUE VALUE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD.

HERE IS HOW THIS AD READ ON EBAY.

For sale is a 1973 Polaris Starfire 440 triple in very good condition, there are a few scratches, dings, cracks, exc. It has 38mm Mikuni carbs bored to 39.2mm, reproduction hood, new track, seat has been recovered, rest of sled is original 73 starfire. engine has been slightly modified (port & polish). Was told by former owner of sled that Marv Jorgenson of Chopper City sports did the work on it back in the late 70's, early 80's. Sled runs very strong.  Bought sled about 25 years ago from Norms Service in Richland Center WI. Sled was set up for drags but not used very much because Norm had a very successful 340 Starfire with a liquid top end kit that he mainly raced.  After sled was bought I put it back to original as much as possible, engine has new piston rings ( less than hour runtime). All sled was used  for was a couple of radar runs, but  pretty much just sat in every corner of my garage since it was bought. 

Have new projects and interests, time to go, sick of moving it from corner to corner and tripping over ski tips!!! Thanks for interest.
