1973 Yamaha SR292 Vintage Racer, built by Whal Brothers,
Dave DeLaughter and my self Chuck Davis.

This is a matching number machine SR292-000309

My name is Chuck Davis and have been building Custom Vintage Roadracing Motorcycles and restoring Classic Vintage Motorcycles for over 20 years. 

Back in the early 70's racing bikes and snowmobiles is the reason I have 
decided to build to the best of my ability this Vintage Yamaha SR292 Vintage 
Oval Racer. (with help from some of the best in the Snowmobile industry)

Being known for my Restored Motorcycles in the ebay world this is the first attempt at a restored snowmobile. Please take a moment to review my 100% feedback as a seller I have many happy buyers who have bought my cycles. Please review this description and all the pictures and ask any questions you may have, I have no intention of misleading anyone.

This SR 292 started as a Very Good condition ORIGINAL running 
machine,(and all original parts are with the sale are listed in the pictures,
there are more than 90% of the original parts, plus some NOS parts)

This machine was sent to Whal Brothers race shop and built by Terry
and overlooked by Dave Whal. Description listed below.

Completly disassembled and rebuilt starting with modifing the frame around
the steering spindle area, installing a rear frame inclosure, custom lube 
tank,custom right foot peg assembly, modified steering components and 
more. All parts installed by Whal's are listed below.

lubrication system, oval race suspension 116" with cross shafts, Extra wide 
UHMW Slides, Artic chain Chase,Billet alum bearing holder, Polaris drive 
shaft, No slip 2.52 pitch drive sprocket 8 tooth 1" hex, North star racing skis 
28" with 20" springs, assembled, Saddle 2" wide 3" hole centers 1/4 material,
Steel flanged triangular bearing, Billet aluminum bearing holder, Steering post
and handle bar mount 4 bolt pattern, Auroa steering rod ends with heavy duty
aluminum shafts, Ultra Lite Wave disk Brake 8 5/8, Polaris aluminum hub 
splined, Polaris light weight jack shaft, Koyo bearing with holders, Billet 
Wildwood Duel caliper, new yamaha motor mounts, Led tail light, Handle bar,
aluminum handle bar clamps, Aluminum fuel tank cap, weldment lube tank
, Whal champ brake hose, Artic/Wildwood master cylinder, stainless lanyard, 
Northstar 10" carbides, chain drive sprockets 18t, 19t, 37t, 38t, 39t and chain,
Polaris aluminum rear bumper, UHMW Tunnell Protector, class legal clutch 
and driver saftey cover, Camoplast 13.5 X 116 racing track hooker plates, 

Woodys studs,flat aluminum stud plates, Whal Studded at race shop, Custom 
Whal small sprint gastank, Whal racing seat. Plus many other small parts.

From Dave Delaughter Performance, engine building, clutch, drive tuning
and dyno tested. Services liste below.

New 44 Mikuni and new fuel pump, UFO Thunder Products, Thunder products
adjustable main jet system, Correctly jetted, Ported Cylinder and new piston
and Nicasil Coating, Modified head, VForce reed kit, Billet Pto seal holder,
Billet tapered crankshaft, new rod and bearings, polaris clutch with adjustable
weights and correct spring, polaris converter, new whal belt, Billet exhaust 
flange and DeLaughter pipe w/silencer, MSD Ignition, New EGT tack and 
exhaust temp. gauge. Plus more.

Dyno tuned and jetted high 60's horse power, kept gaining power on
each run and while breaking in.

I have installed new fiberglass professionally painted
and added my own detailing.

This maching is all New and Ready for you to start practicing, set up for
195 lbs rider, running 110 leaded gas with 32 to 1 klotz R50 oil, it has been
run but never ridden on the snow. there are spares, (shown in pictures)
extra jetting along with a coverand rear stand.

No real reason for selling other than not having time to go out and use it, 
I have all my fun building these type of projects.
