I
GET EMAILS FROM OWNERS ASKING ME WHAT I THINK THEIR SLED IS WORTH.
THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS -
APPEARANCE
- CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION
- RARE MODEL - STORED OUTSIDE / INSIDE - ORIGINAL - HAVING TRANSFER
PAPERS AND SO ON.
I CREATED THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY. JUST
REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER
THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN
SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN
THIS
GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED. AFTER
ALL A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT.
I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE.
I
DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH THE SNOWMOBILE.

1980
Kawasaki LTD 440 Liquid Cooled
You are looking at a 1980. (Manufacture date 10/79) Kawasaki LTD 440 with a liquid cooled engine. Engine is the dual plug per cyl type and is oil injected. Sled has less than 700 miles on it. Hood is near perfect, no cracks dings or repairs. Belly pan has a small crack. Track is all rubber. Engine runs strong. All gauges in working order. Chassis is straight. Suspension fine as well. Sled runs strong. It has a Comet 102 clutch that is tuned to the sled. Have a windshield but it needs a new one, aftermarker or Ebay can help there.Fuel tank has had the filled neck repaired (See Pic) and the seat cover and seat base could use some attention Dash has some cracks but not too bad. This machine is a perfect restoration for a classic racer or just a head turner for the right person. Anyone that has had one of these sleds knows the potential here.
