I
GET EMAILS FROM OWNERS ASKING ME WHAT I THINK THEIR SLED IS WORTH.
THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS -
APPEARANCE
- CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION
- RARE MODEL - STORED OUTSIDE / INSIDE - ORIGINAL - HAVING TRANSFER
PAPERS AND SO ON.
I CREATED THESE PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK AT SLEDS THAT HAVE RECENTLY SOLD ON EBAY WITH THEIR DESCRIPTION. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY. JUST
REMEMBER - SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE WAY UP OVER
THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN SOMETIMES A SLED CAN
SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN
THIS
GUIDE IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED. AFTER
ALL A SLED IS WORTH ONLY WHAT THE BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT.
I AM POSTING THIS GUIDE AS A SERVICE AND NOTHING ELSE.
I
DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH THE SNOWMOBILE.

have
up for auction this very nice 1971 Evinrude Skeeter vintage antique snowmobile.
Model number E2015A, serial number 02952. It has a 437CC twin cylinder
engine, electric start, and reverse! It has a factory tachometer,
speedometer, and gas gauge. For a 1971 model this was way ahead of
it's time! This sled is fast for as old, big, and heavy as it is!
It started and ran good when I put it away 2 years ago. I haven't
looked at it for 2 years, it is in the back of my portable garage, extremely
hard to get at, and I need the room, so I have decided to sell it, with
some regret, despite the sentimental value it has for me. This has
been in my family for well over 20 years. My father was the second
owner and I purchased it from the estate after my father passed away 3
years ago. My father drove this every winter until his death.
The first year I owned it I tuned it up and drove it approximately 200
miles. Everything works, reverse works well, headlight, tail light,
tachometer, gas gauge, and speedometer, and I always used the electric
start to start it. It is all original and in good shape including
the track and the seat. I have the original owners manual and a parts
catalog.
Winning bid: US $500.00
