Hi
Dave
The model years
are confusing as this was the era that
snowmobiles starting
being year labeled like cars.
In the summer
/ fall of 1970, Ske bec inc (the original manufacturer)
produced models
for the winter of 1970 / 1971.
THESE WERE THE
1971 MODELS - FIRST YEAR FOR SKI BEC.
In the summer of 1971, Warwick
Mercantile Enterprises
produced models
for the winter of 1971 / 1972.
THESE WERE THE
1972 SKI BEC MODELS.
Year built
1970 = 1971 models
manufactured
by Ske bec Inc.
Year built 1971 = 1972 models)
manufactured
by Warwick Mercantile Enterprises.
The identifiers if serial number plate is missing
are as follows.........
1971- no chrome
hood vents, no steel angle iron bogie hangers,
no plastic vents
on engine cowl.
1972 models - have all of the above.
Hope this clears up confusion.
